My journey with photography began more than fifty years ago when I built my first pinhole camera from a cereal box and black electrical tape for an elementary school science project. I later learned how to develop photographs in the school darkroom, and I can still remember the excitement of watching those first images appear. My passion for the arts has grown over the years. Sometimes I’ll pick up a pencil and etch out a drawing or sketch, but the camera has always been my favorite way to create art.

My specialty is landscape and wildlife photography, but I enjoy street and architectural photography as well. I love traveling, hiking, and exploring our beautiful world. Each photograph I create is the result of careful preparation and consideration for lighting, composition, and exposure. When I bring the photos home to my digital darkroom, I spend a little time making color and enhancements, but editing is minimized to give each photograph a natural look and feel.

For me, photography is much more than creating a beautiful image. It’s about exploring and connecting the beautiful world around us. Whether I’m hiking in Yellowstone or walking through downtown Fort Worth, the camera helps me slow down and connect with the world around me.
