Photography, for me, usually begins with slowing down.

I am drawn to landscapes, wildlife, historic places, and architecture, but what interests me most is not simply the subject itself. It is the atmosphere around it — the way light falls across stone, the stillness before an animal moves, the silence of an old street, or the feeling of standing in a place that seems to carry more history than it reveals at first glance.

My photographs are rooted in travel, hiking, and close observation. Sometimes that means waiting for natural light to soften a scene. Sometimes it means noticing a doorway, a shadow, a reflection, or a quiet corner that many people might pass by without a second look.

I do not think of photography only as a way to document where I have been. I think of it as a way to remember what it felt like to be there.

This blog will be a place to share the stories behind my photographs, the places that inspire me, and the small decisions that shape an image — from composition and light to mood, timing, and editing. Some posts may focus on a single photograph. Others may reflect on a place, a trip, or the process of learning to see more carefully.

For me, the best photographs are not always the loudest or most dramatic. Often, they are the ones that invite a second look.
